Senior South Australian Liberal Senator Simon Birmingham was joined today by Liberal Candidate for Federal Adelaide Carmen Garcia, to announce $28,000 in funding for the Kilburn Football Club for clubroom upgrades.
“Our funding will help ensure the club can provide the best facilities possible for its members,” Ms Garcia said.
Senator Birmingham said the announcement was a great step towards improving facilities for the community.
“Carmen Garcia has fought hard for this funding and I applaud her for her tireless work in ensuring this commitment,” Senator Birmingham said.
“The people of Kilburn have a right to expect modern facilities.”
“Kilburn Football Club members have waited a long time for an upgrade to their clubroom, which is why we have made this pledge.
“Sporting clubs are an important part of any community and I am confident with this funding the Kilburn Football Club will be able to provide premier facilities to surrounding suburbs for many years to come,” Senator Birmingham said.
Ms Garcia said she was confident that a Coalition Government, if elected, would be able to deliver for local communities well into the future.
“By getting Australia back on track with a strong economy, we can build the local infrastructure of the future, including facilities like the Kilburn Football Club,” Ms Garcia said.
